Outstanding Achievements Award Presented
Maui Young Business Roundtable President David Tester presented its inaugural Outstanding Achievements Award to charter and founding member Lynn Araki-Regan at its general membership meeting held on August 13.
An attorney at her law firm, Araki-Regan & Associates, Lynn, 38, entered private practice in 1996 upon completing her one year law clerkship at the Hawaii Supreme Court. A 1988 graduate of H.P. Baldwin High School, a 1992 graduate of Santa Clara University, and a 1995 graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law, Lynn chose to return to Maui because she understood the importance of her family and her Maui community.
While Araki-Regan has focused on the growth and development of her law practice since leaving the County of Maui (her firm had one employee in 2007 and now has 7 employees in 2009), she continues to be involved in numerous organizations. Organizations that have direct business related purposes are Maui Chamber of Commerce (Director & Membership Committee
Chair), Maui Young Business Roundtable, ACA International – Member Attorney Program State Chair, and the Hawaiian Collectors Association (Past President). She also supports numerous
non-profit organizations both monetarily and through providing direct service. A few examples are her service to the Kapiolani Medical Foundation, March of Dimes – Maui where she currently serves as Immediate Past President, Wailuku Hongwanji Mission where she is assisting with their upcoming 110th Anniversary and the Japanese Cultural Society of Maui where she has been active in society projects and serving as co-chair of the annual Maui Matsuri. She is an alumnus of the Pacific Century Fellows Program. Lynn has learned to balance all of
these responsibilities while also being a mother to her 4 year old son, Riley.
The Maui Young Business Roundtable was formed to provide a professional networking environment for young business professionals working and living on the island of Maui. The organization provides social networking opportunities on a monthly basis and strive to expand our members experiences through dynamic guest speakers. Individuals considering our organization must be between the ages of 18 and 40 years old. They must exhibit leadership in their field, be involved in community service and genuinely interested in expanding their networking base by regularly attending sponsored events.
